I don't know about you, but I go to Pandora to listen to music. So when the music stops and an audio message from an artist starts updating me on their tour dates or some new product, I get pretty annoyed. The good thing is you can turn these off.
Even if it's a musician I like and support, I don't want to listen to someone talking. Having the option to turn off artists announcements helps me focus on what is important to me at the time of my music playing. You may like an artist's older music and not like the present music they are promoting. Turning off the specific artist announcement would fix that problem, too.
Step 1: Go to the Settings Screen
Open the Pandora app (Android | iOS) and tap the hamburger button in the top-left corner. From there, choose "Settings," then select "Advanced" on the following page.
Step 2: Turn Off Artist Audio Messages
Now tap "Playing on 99 stations." You'll be taken to the "Play Artist Audio Messages" screen. Here, you can either use the global switch to turn off announcements for all musicians, or you can specify who you don't mind hearing messages from. We will tap on "Play Artist Audio Messages" to turn all audio messages off. After you do this, you will no longer hear audio messages from the artists you like.
