There's nothing quite like getting lost in the TikTok void. While you'll likely never run into the same video twice, the same can't be said for popular sounds and fads. Some trends get so viral, it feels like you hear the same song or track every other TikTok. Just know this: you don't have to put up with any trend you're sick of.
TikTok has an easy, albeit hidden, way to block specific audio tracks from your For You feed, and therefore viral videos such as the Renegade and Shuffle dances. All you need to do is long-press on the video in your feed, tap "More," then tap "Hide videos with this sound." TikTok will skip to the next video in For You, removing the one with the sound you blocked and every other video that used that sound.
Keep in mind that hiding content only pertains to the specific audio file you hid. That song or sound clip may have been uploaded hundreds of times by other users, in which case, you'll need to hide those too as they come up.

Alternatively, if you don't like a particular creator, you can select "Hide videos from this user" to banish them from the For You section.
TikTok doesn't currently have a way to undo anything you hide from your feed, whether tracks or users. The best solution is to search for the sound or profile, then add it to your favorites. Still, until TikTok implements a true undo for "Hide videos," you might want to save the feature for sounds you really can't stand. Either that or use the "Not Interested" button to show less of content like it in For You.
