How to Let Android Automatically Switch From One Network to Another

Android has developed an application that lets you phone decide which particular network to select and switch to, based on your preferences. All you have to do define your preferences mentioned by this application's interface and it will do the rest of task.

To mention few features, this application will make your phone capable to:

1. Automatically switch from GPRS to Wi-fi on entering location where Wi-Fi is present so that you can save your limited GPRS data plan.

2. Automatically select airplane mode when you battery is low or it is time for your sleep.

3. Automatically disable Internet connection when battery gets low from certain level.

4. Enable or disable Internet only at particular times.

You can define your preferences based on different provided options which are:

1. Time

2. Location

3. Date

4. Availability of particular network

5. Battery level etc.



Android released two versions of this application named as “Network Switcher” and “Network Switcher Pro”.

The former version is free but has certain limitations while the later version has no limitations when defining preferences and conditions but needs to be purchased. Moreover, in Pro version preferences can be defined from combination of conditions for example turning Wi-fi off on Sundays from 12am to 8am (Combination of date and time constraint). Pro version also has new User Interface which enables application to be controlled from home screen.
