In this how to video, you will learn how to jail break your iPhone or iPod Touch to 3.0.1 firmware. First, you will need to download the firmware and Redsn0w. Install and open Redsn0w. From here, click browse and open your firmware. Next, click unlock and press next. Next, find your boot loaders if you have a 2G. If not, ignore this part and click next. Next, plug in your device into the computer. Turn it off and then click next. Hold your power button for 3 seconds, hold down the home button for 10 seconds while holding the power button, and then release the power button but keep the home button pressed for 30 seconds. Once this is done, allow your program to finish. Your device will reboot. Make sure to not unplug the device until it is done flashing on the device screen. You have completed changing the firmware on your device.

The next big software update for iPhone is coming sometime in April and will include a Food section in Apple News+, an easy-to-miss new Ambient Music app, Priority Notifications thanks to Apple Intelligence, and updates to apps like Mail, Photos, Podcasts, and Safari. See what else is coming to your iPhone with the iOS 18.4 update.
