Your cell phone has now become your greatest tool in the quest to never get lost again. TomTom is a global positioning software that uses your cell phone signal to direct you to your destination. Originally used for in-car navigation only, the TomTom Navigator 7 is now available for download on your Windows Mobile device.This program allows your windows mobile device to not only locate addresses, but search for nearby points of interest as well. The program is easy to install on your computer, and very simple to use to transfer maps to the Windows mobile device.
TomTom Account
- Register for a TomTom account. It is free and simple to register for this account online.
PC connections
- Connect Windows mobile device to your computer. Using a data cable will be the best way to connect these devices securely.
Log In
- Log into your account from the Home window. The Home program should start when the device is has been recognized by the computer. This may take a few minutes depending on the computer.
Maps
- Check the box next to the corresponding maps. Checking multiple maps will add them to the download list.
Installation
- Click "Update and Install" from the menu to begin installing maps on your Windows mobile device. It may take a few minutes for the installation process to complete, depending on the number of maps chosen.
Completion
- Click "Done" when installation is complete. It will now be safe to disconnect your Windows mobile device from your computer.
