How to Enable MMS for iPhone 3G

Sep 26, 2009 12:08 AM
Close-up of an iPhone showing the home screen with various app icons.

This video tutorial shows how to get MMS on iPhone 3G for Tmobile on 3.0 or 3.0.1. Not that this works on T-Mobile's Network ONLY

To add MMS go to:

Settings-General-Network-Cellular Data Network

Add this in MMS field:

APN: wap.voicestream.com

Username: *leave blank*

Password: *leave blank*

MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms

MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080

MMS Max Message Size: *leave blank*

MMS UA Prof URL: *leave blank*

Then reboot your iPhone.

Then the picture icon will show up in the Messages App.

There is no additional charge for MMS on T-Mobile's Network. Same price as sending a normal text.

The next big software update for iPhone is coming sometime in April and will include a Food section in Apple News+, an easy-to-miss new Ambient Music app, Priority Notifications thanks to Apple Intelligence, and updates to apps like Mail, Photos, Podcasts, and Safari. See what else is coming to your iPhone with the iOS 18.4 update.
