Most people are unaware that Blackberry mobile phones can be easily unlocked by entering an Unlock Code (MEP2). When you are traveling abroad and going out of the coverage area of your cell phone service provider, it is better that you use another SIM card and switch over to a local network.
The cell phone software is so programmed that you can only unlock it by entering a special unlock code . This code is Known as Mobile Equipment Personalization Code (MEP).
If you search in google you will see many websites providing free Unlock codes, but all these codes are not genuine. By entering the wrong code, you will loose the number of attempts to unlock the phone. The maximum number of attempts to enter the MEP2 code is TEN.
