There are a few ways to do this, but I'm going to share with you the easiest way that I know how to share an image on Instagram Stories that isn't currently in your Stories queue.
At the moment, Instagram only lets you post photos from the last 24 hours to your Stories. If you want to post an image from earlier, the app kinda makes you feel like you are out of luck. But there is a way, my friends, so let's get to it.
All you have to do is go to the photo in your phone's gallery app that you want to post to your IG Stories, then take a screenshot of it. If you don't want any black bars appearing on the image, you can zoom into the picture first so it fills the entire screen, then take the screenshot.
After taking the screenshot, open up your Instagram app and go back to your Stories camera roll. From there, you'll find your screenshot at the top of the queue.
Post it, sticker it, filter it, and augment it on to your heart's content. That's what Instagram Stories is there for. Now you can post any photo to Stories even if it's from days, weeks, or even years ago.
