If there's one thing that iPhone and Android users can agree on, it's that playing mobile games can drain your battery like nothing else. But it doesn't always have to be this way. If the game you're currently addicted to is Super Mario Run, there are two settings you can change to greatly reduce battery drain on any phone.

To get started, tap the menu button from the game's main screen, then choose "Settings." From there, select "Options," then tap the Rendering and Graphics settings to switch them both from "High" to "Low."

Changing these settings to "Low" will obviously reduce the quality of graphics in Super Mario Run, but that shouldn't impact your ability to enjoy the game. SMR is one of those games where graphics are secondary at best, and the real fun is in the actual gameplay.

Bottom line, once the settings for both rendering and graphics are set to low, power consumption will automatically be lowered, giving you more time to play and enjoy Super Mario Run.
