This video tutorial from iTouchMaster2 shows how to SSH to iPod or iPod Touch using FileZilla application.

FileZilla is a freeware application working on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

To start, download and install FileZilla from this web site: filezilla-project.org.

Note, you want to download client, not server. And don't forget to check OS version of FileZilla installer.

Once it's installed, run the program.

Make sure your iPod device has OpenSSH and BossPrefs or SBSettings installed.

Connect iPod to your computer.

From FileZilla top menu select File-Site Manager.

Next, click My Site-New Site. Name it.

Enter iPod's IP address into Host area. You can check this by opening iPod's WiFi Settings-IP address.

For Port area enter 22.

Choose SSH File transfer protocol for Server Type area. Logon type -Normal.

Your username will be root. The password is alpine.

Make sure, that OpenSSH is active on your iPod and click Connect button in FileZilla.

Once it's connected, you will be able to see and edit all the content on your Ipod device.

The next big software update for iPhone is coming sometime in April and will include a Food section in Apple News+, an easy-to-miss new Ambient Music app, Priority Notifications thanks to Apple Intelligence, and updates to apps like Mail, Photos, Podcasts, and Safari. See what else is coming to your iPhone with the iOS 18.4 update.
