Unless you're a business executive or movie star, most of us aren't afforded the luxury of having a personal assistant. Wouldn't it be nice to wake up in the morning and just have everything taken care of?

Well, it may not make you breakfast, but a new iOS app called Winston does just about everything else. It wakes you up and reads you a daily "brief" including the weather forecast, top headlines for the day, and updates on your social media accounts.

All you have to do is choose your favorite news sources and sync your accounts and Winston will create your own personalized newscast each morning, which it reads to you out loud. That way, you can catch up on what's going on while you go about your morning routine or driving to work.

Winston also tells you about stories that a lot of your friends are sharing via social media, and can scan your newsfeeds to let you know if anyone broke up or started a new job. And on top of all that, he's super polite—Winston will never crack jokes at your expense like Siri. As a matter of fact, the developers specifically designed it to be more "respectful."

Check out the video below to see what all the app can do.

You can download Winston for free over on the iOS App Store. Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below.

The next big software update for iPhone is coming sometime in April and will include a Food section in Apple News+, an easy-to-miss new Ambient Music app, Priority Notifications thanks to Apple Intelligence, and updates to apps like Mail, Photos, Podcasts, and Safari.
