You've managed to get your Motorola Droid X rooted, so now what? What's one of the first things you could install on your Droid X? What's the most valuable items you need on your cell phone? Everybody knows the answer… wireless tether, a way to suck the internet from your Droid X to your laptop or home computer. Well, this video tutorial will show you how to get the free Wi-Fi tether mobile hotspot app, called Wireless Tether, on your Droid X from Verizon Wireless. You don't have to pay tons of money for the Verizon Mobile Hotspot. You're phone has to be fully rooted for this to work.

How to get free WiFi tether mobile hotspot on Droid X:

1. Root your Droid X.

2. Browse to the Android WiFi Tether download page and download the latest .APK file.

3. Install the app and open the Android WiFi Tether app.

4. Make sure to set your app so "WiFi encryption" is enabled. If it's not enabled, the wifi tether application will not work.

5. Enjoy free wifi Mobile Hotspot on your Droid X. Of course, the Verizon Mobile Hotspot app is a bit better as it's a full "wifi" feature while the Android WiFi Tether works in "ad-hoc" mode.

The next big software update for iPhone is coming sometime in April and will include a Food section in Apple News+, an easy-to-miss new Ambient Music app, Priority Notifications thanks to Apple Intelligence, and updates to apps like Mail, Photos, Podcasts, and Safari. See what else is coming to your iPhone with the iOS 18.4 update.
