15 Minutes? Right... Tell Your Friends How Late You're Actually Going to Be with Twist

Every group of friends has that one person who's always late. Luckily, I've never had to deal with that issue because all of my friends are always late. Never fashionably, either. I'm talking hours late. Oh, we're having lunch at noon? Nah, it's at 3 p.m. now.

Great.

The most frustrating thing about it is that they never let me know exactly how late they're going to be. I mean, I totally understand if something comes up—things happen. But at least have the decency to let me know what's going on and when you think you're going to get there!

No one likes waiting!

Well, it seems that an app called Twist (available in both Google Play and the iTunes Store) could be the solution to this problem—besides, you know, actually showing up on time. It uses GPS and cell tower location to determine exactly how long it will take to get to a destination, for all of your friends to see in real time.

Whether you're walking, driving, or taking public transit, the application will share this information with the friends you choose. It pinpoints exactly where you are, which any friend you make it available to can check out intermittently.

There are also a few alternative apps you can try out that do pretty much the same thing, like Glympse for Android (also available for iOS) and Google Latitude.

So, if you're one of those friends who is always late, be sure to check out Twist. It might just make life easier on your friends, if that's what you're into.
