OPPO Find X9 Goes Global With 200MP Camera & 2-Day Battery

OPPO's Find X9 series has finally gone global, and the launch feels like a watershed moment for the brand. For years, Find flagships stayed in China. Now OPPO says its most comprehensive upgrade is leaving home. The Find X9 and Find X9 Pro read less like yearly refreshes and more like a reset, especially in imaging and battery endurance.

Both devices run on MediaTek's cutting-edge Dimensity 9500 chipset built on a 3nm process. That puts them among the first phones globally to tap this platform’s mix of power and efficiency. OPPO is not shy about the target either, the series is positioned to compete directly with Samsung and Apple, with European pricing starting at €999 for the Find X9 and €1,299 for the Pro model.

The global rollout begins in Europe with availability expanding to additional markets including India in November. It reads like OPPO’s most strategic push into premium territory yet.

Hasselblad partnership delivers genuine imaging breakthroughs

The Find X9 series debuts OPPO’s new-generation Hasselblad Master Camera System. Sticker branding? Not here. Hasselblad’s optical expertise informs sensor calibration and lens design throughout. The standard Find X9 features a professional-grade triple 50MP camera setup, while the Pro model pushes mobile photography further.

Headliner first, the Find X9 Pro carries a 200MP Hasselblad Telephoto camera, co-developed for superior sensor calibration and optical design. Instead of chasing numbers for the sake of it, this massive sensor unlocks lossless zoom capabilities up to 13.2x by intelligently cropping the 200MP sensor. One lens, many usable focal lengths, minimal compromise.

For enthusiasts who want even more reach, OPPO offers an optional detachable teleconverter lens that extends zoom to an impressive 10x native optical range. Mainstream flagships usually avoid accessories like this. OPPO leans in.

Computational photography gets equal attention. Both devices use OPPO's proprietary LUMO Image Engine, a suite of algorithms that boosts clarity, dynamic range, and color accuracy while reducing CPU usage by up to 50%. That efficiency lets the cameras hold full resolution more consistently, and it helps battery life too.

The series also introduces industry-first 4K Motion Photos, letting users pull high-resolution stills from 4K video recordings. Shoot once, choose later. Handy when moments move fast.

Revolutionary battery technology sets new flagship standards

Battery performance might be the Find X9 series’ biggest swing. The phones carry serious capacity, Find X9 with a 7,025mAh battery and the Pro model with a 7,500mAh cell, the largest ever in an OPPO flagship device. Big numbers, matched by new chemistry.

OPPO’s third-generation Silicon-Carbon battery architecture maintains over 80% capacity after five years of regular use. That longevity tackles a familiar headache, batteries that fade too fast.

Charging is flexible and fast, 80W SUPERVOOC wired, 50W AIRVOOC wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. Plug in, or do not.

The result in daily use is simple, more time away from the charger. Large battery capacity paired with an efficient 3nm chipset enables up to two days of usage on a single charge under typical conditions. For a flagship, that is no small feat.

Premium engineering balances power and elegance

The Find X9 series balances big batteries and advanced cameras with clean design. Both models use flat-edged aesthetics with flat displays and ultra-thin 1.15mm symmetrical bezels. Edge to edge, easy on the eyes.

On the display side, Find X9 has a 6.59-inch screen and the Pro steps up to 6.78 inches, both at 120Hz with peak brightness hitting 3,600 nits. Bright enough to read a map on a sunlit sidewalk.

As for durability, the series brings IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. IP69 protection against high-pressure water jets is rare in mainstream phones.

There is also a new hardware shortcut, the Snap Key, which provides instant access to camera functions or AI features with a single press. See a moment, press, shoot.

Materials and finishes feel grown-up, matte aluminum frames and glass backs, with Find X9 in Velvet Red, Space Black, and Titanium Grey, and the Pro in Silk White and Titanium Charcoal. Grippy, refined, not flashy for the sake of it.

On the software front, both devices ship with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, adding AI features like AI Portrait Glow for low light and AI Mind Space for organization. Latest Android features, plus OPPO’s camera-first polish.

Strategic global positioning challenges flagship orthodoxy

This launch is more than a product drop, it is OPPO’s bid to establish flagship credibility in global markets. The series positions OPPO for direct competition with Samsung and Apple in key territories, backed by meaningful upgrades rather than small steps.

European sales begin in late November, with availability through OPPO stores, authorized retailers, and partner carriers globally. Confirmed launches in India scheduled for November underline the focus on growth markets.

The pricing tells the story. At €999 and €1,299, the Find X9 series brings two-day battery life, pro-grade imaging, and next-gen processing in one package.

What stands out is how OPPO targets real pain points, battery anxiety, camera versatility, long-term longevity, with tech that feels practical, not performative. The mix of advanced imaging, strong battery performance, and thoughtful design creates a genuine flagship alternative that could nudge the market.

If you want flagship speed without the usual trade-offs in daily use, the Find X9 series makes a strong case. Not just another launch, a push for where mobile should go next.
