How To: Add widgets to your HTC Hero cell phone

Widgets are invading our computers and mobile phones, and the new HTC Hero Android-enabled device is no different. If you want to get the most out of your widgets, you're going to have to first learn how to add new ones to your home screen. Best Buy has answers. The Best Buy Mobile team explains how simple it is to add widgets to your HTC Hero cell phone.

Dave: "Hi, I'm Dave from Best Buy in Union Square, Manhattan and today I'm gonna show you how to add widgets to your HTC Hero phone. A widget is a program that lives on your home screen as opposed to a shortcut which you might press to go to your browser, your camera or your contacts. To add a widget, simply hit the plus button on an empty screen, select HTC widget, scroll to find the one you want to add, Weather is one of my personal favorites. So lets add that. Then you have to choose the design of the widget you like. Not every widget has different designs, but most of them like the Clock or the Weather do. Pick the one you want and hit select and its gonna load right where you asked it to. So now I got this great Weather application that I can slide over to anytime, get the forecast both here, other parts of the country and other parts of the world."
